Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: May 17, 2026
RevealTheme is reader-supported. Some of the links on this site are affiliate links. When you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Here's exactly how it works, in plain English.
What is an affiliate link?
An affiliate link is a URL that contains a tracking parameter. When you click it and buy something within a certain time window (usually 30-90 days), the merchant pays the referring website (us) a small percentage of the sale. The price you pay is exactly the same as if you visited the merchant directly.
Which merchants do we have affiliate relationships with?
We're affiliated with most of the major WordPress hosting providers (SiteGround, Hostinger, Bluehost, Kinsta, WP Engine, DreamHost, A2 Hosting, GreenGeeks, HostGator, InMotion), several theme and plugin shops (Elegant Themes, Elementor, Astra, Kadence, ThemeForest, MyThemeShop), and a handful of email and analytics tools (ConvertKit, MonsterInsights). When you click "Get [product]" on our site, you may be using an affiliate link.
Does this influence our rankings?
No. Our rankings are based on three independent inputs:
- Performance testing. We monitor uptime via UptimeRobot from five global locations and run weekly page-load tests using GTmetrix and Pingdom.
- Customer feedback. We aggregate verified reviews from Trustpilot, Reddit, hosting forums, and our own contact form. We filter for verified purchases.
- Transparent pricing. We compare both intro and renewal pricing, money-back guarantees, and what's included in the base plan.
If a host paid us higher commissions but performed worse, they would still drop in our rankings. We've moved hosts down in our top 10 even when it cost us revenue. We mention this not to brag, but to be clear about the actual incentives.
How can you tell which links are affiliate links?
Every product listing on RevealTheme that earns us a commission is marked with a disclosure at the top of the page or near the link itself. If you ever wonder, hover over a link and look at the destination — affiliate links typically contain `?ref=`, `?aff=`, `affid=`, or similar parameters.
What if I want to support RevealTheme without buying anything?
The best way to support us is to share our articles when you find them useful. Recommend the detector to a colleague. Mention us in a forum post when someone asks about WordPress themes. These tiny actions help us reach more people and keep the lights on without anyone spending a dime they wouldn't have spent anyway.
FTC compliance
This disclosure complies with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on affiliate disclosures. We also disclose at the start of every blog post that contains affiliate links.
